I was born and raised in Japan and have been playing drums since the age of seven. My father who is also a musician (singer and songwriter) influenced me to go into music. Into my teenage years, my musical interests expanded to include the Afro-Cuban, funk, soul, hip hop and jazz genres. I moved to New York City in January 2016 to pursue my music career as a professional drummer.
In recent years, I have performed at the New York Fashion Show, The W Hotel in Times Square, The Public Theatre, Joe's Pub, Shiva Theatre, The Groove, Cornelia Street Cafe, The Bitter End, Webster Hall, Rockwood Music Hall, Bowery Electric, The Pianos, KGB Bar, Pangea, Pete's Candy Store, Bushwick Public House, Chez Josephine, The Greats of Craft, and many other places in NYC. I have also toured across the United States with the Dylan Doyle Band several times in the past few years.
'94年11月18日生まれ、埼玉県出身。7歳の頃よりシンガーソングライターである父”さばいばるいとう”の影響でドラムを始め、12歳の頃より父が結成した”さばいばるいとうUNIT”に参加し本格的に音楽活動を行い、日本全国ツアーを経験する。2016年1月、21歳でアメリカ・ニューヨークに単身移住し音楽活動を開始、プロの音楽家として更なる高みを目指している。NY在住4年目の2019年には、NYオフブロードウェイとして最大規模の”The Public Theater"にて”Joe’s Pub”と”Shiva Theatre"の両方のステージで出演を果たし、同年夏からDylan Doyle Bandのドラマーとしてアメリカ国内のツアーも経験する。それ以外では現在までに、New York Fashion ShowやThe Groove、The Cornelia Street Cafe、W Hotel in Times Squareを始めとするニューヨーク市内外の様々な場所で演奏を経験。2020年のパンデミック以降はライブ演奏活動だけでなく、ブルックリンにある自身の音楽スタジオにてリモート録音やDAWを使用した音楽制作を中心にも力を入れ、活動の幅を広げている。
